Here in Putney, there's a tradition called big night, which involves a group of volunteers who photograph and catalog the amphibians who come down Putney Mountain to breed in vernal pools. We make sure these frogs and salamanders cross public roads safely and get the opportunity to repproduce.
They say the pressence of frogs is an indicator of environmental health.
In Putney, there's life, yet.
Beautiful photographs.
